WEST UNION, Iowa (July
14) – The first of two upcoming treks to Northeast Iowa tracks takes the JR
Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour to Fayette County Speedway for a Tuesday,
July 20 show. IMCA Modifieds run for
$1,000 to win in the fifth of 10 events in the inaugural series. The West
Union date was originally scheduled for June 15 but was postponed because of
persistent inclement weather. All times remain the
same as for the original date: Pit gates at the fairgrounds open at 4 p.m.
and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing to
follow. The winner will be
added to the ballot for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. All
applicable IMCA points will be awarded. Grandstand admission is
$12 for adults and free for kids 11 and under. Pit passes are $25. The event
is sponsored by NAPA of West Union.

Foster owns a pair of tour wins thus far, at Independence Motor Speedway and
most recently at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson. Richie Gustin Jr.
topped the feature at Mason City’s I-35 Speedway and Jeff Waterman paced the
Cresco Speedway main event. The series is at Upper
Iowa Speedway in Decorah on Thursday, July 29 for another $1,000 to win
