ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (Feb, 14) – Ten is the number to note this season for Petersen Aluminum, in providing contingency awards for Deery Brothers Summer Series drivers. The Elk Grove, Ill., manufacturer reaches its 10th year as an award sponsor for the IMCA Late Model tour. The champion and rookie of the year, as well as the winner of the Sept. 5 event during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals, all receive 10 sheets aluminum. Two Petersen Aluminum decals must be displayed on the race car for drivers to be eligible. Those decals will be available during pre-race tech inspection at all events in the 25th anniversary tour. Petersen manufactures and sells painted aluminum and mill finish aluminum sheets, extrusions and stainless steel. Information about those products and their racing applications is available at the www.pac-racing.com website or by calling 800 323-1960. Ray Guss Jr. won his career first Deery Series title in 2010 while repeating as champion at Super Nationals. Andy Eckrich raced to rookie of the year honors. “In a year of milestones for our Late Model division, we are privileged to have partnered with Petersen Aluminum for the past decade,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “The consistent support from Petersen and many other companies is among the primary reasons the Deery Brothers Summer Series remains the benchmark for touring series in the Midwest."
