VINTON,
Iowa (December 16, 2011) - New cylinder head and intake options have
been announced for drivers in three IMCA divisions in 2012.
EngineQuest stock replacement cylinder head Chrysler part number
CH318B will be legal for use in IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl
Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern
SportMod competition.
Both
Chrysler part number 7545 and Weiand part number 8022 intakes can be
used in the same divisions.
“Manufacture of the 7545 has been discontinued and that product may
not be available,” explained IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett
Root. “There has been a demand for an OEM replacement cylinder head
in these divisions and we met with EQ earlier this month during IMIS.
I think the addition is a good option for our members and to
maintain parity in the rules while getting an out-of-the-box
option.”
Rules
posted on the IMCA website have been updated to reflect the
additions. |
