Four 2011 IMCA champions earn new licenses from
SuperFlow
DES MOINES, Iowa (Jan. 11) – Their on-track
accomplishments last season netted 2012 competitor’s licenses for a quartet
of IMCA drivers, courtesy of SuperFlow.
Richie Gustin and Colby
Springsteen won Modified and Late Model main events, respectively, at the
IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Cenex. Michael Smith was the
Modified track champion at Black Rock Speedway and Troy Heupel paced
Modified point standings at Williston Basin Speedway.
Smith and
Heupel became eligible for their awards by having engine work done at an
engine builder or ma¬chine shop with a SuperFlow dyno.
Smith had his
engine dynoed at Carl McQuillen Engines in LeRoy, N.Y., and Heupel had his
dynoed at Dakota Engine Builders in Jamestown, N.D.
SuperFlow has
renewed the awards program for 2012. Modified and Late Model drivers can
send dyno sheets to Marketing Director Kevin Yoder at the IMCA home office
to make themselves eligible.
"Through the support of SuperFlow, we
have been able to award free memberships to IMCA drivers each year of their
program with us,” IMCA Marketing Kevin Yoder said. “Modified and Late Model
drivers need to check with their engine builder and if they have a SuperFlow
engine dynamometer, just fax or email me a copy of their dyno sheets at some
point this winter or spring.”
“If drivers are concerned about
revealing specific data about their engine, they are welcome to send it with
those numbers blackened or blurred,” he continued, “but as long as it
reveals the engine builder and that it was tested with SuperFlow WinDyn
Software, that is all I need."
