Beatrice Opens New Season with March 16-17 Spring Nationals BEATRICE, Neb. (March 2, 2012) - A pair of $1,500 to win
IMCA Modified features headline the 19th annual season opening Spring
Nationals special Friday and Saturday, March 16-17. A minimum of $200 will be paid to start and both races are
qualifying events for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.Twenty-four
cars will take the green flag each night and all Modified drivers are
guaranteed $75 a day in tow money. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern
SportMods both race for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $300 to
win Friday and Saturday. IMCA national, regional and Allstar Performance State
points will be given each night. Saturday’s show also boasts a $200 to win feature for
Mach-1 Sport Compacts in a national and state point event. RACEceivers are required in all divisions. Rain date for
Spring Nationals is Sunday, March 18. Entry fees for the Modifieds is $100 if mailed by March 1
or $175 after that date; single night entry fee is $75. Stock Cars and
SportMods pay an early entry fee of $30 per night if mailed by March 1, $50
if racing only one day and $60 a night if the entry fee is mailed after
March 1. Hobby Stocks pay an early entry fee of $20 per night if
mailed by March 1, $40 if racing one day and $60 if the entry fee is mailed
after March 1. Entry fee for the Sport Compacts is $10, or $20 after March
1. An open practice session for all divisions runs from 6-9
p.m. on Thursday, March 15. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. Friday, with hot laps at 6
p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2:30 p.m., hot laps are
at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m. Pit passes are $10 for Thursday’s practice and $25 for
Friday and Saturday shows. Grandstand admission each race night is $14 for adults and
$5 for kids 10 and under. More information about Spring
