ALGONA, Iowa (March 6, 2012) – Spring Fling
specials double as season openers for four IMCA divisions on
Saturday, April 7 at Algona Raceway and Sunday, April 8 at I-35
Speedway in Mason City.
IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win their Fast
Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers both nights. Top
prize for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars is $750 while first place money for
Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and for IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks
is $500.
All applicable points, including IMCA Speedway
Motors Weekly Racing national, regional, Allstar Performance state
and local track points will be awarded.
Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand
opens at 5 p.m. for Saturday’s draw-redraw show. Hot laps are at
6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.
On Sunday, gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand
opens at 4:30 p.m., with racing to follow 6 p.m. hot laps.
There is no entry fee either night. Spectator
admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12, with five and
under free. Pit passes are $25.
