NATIONAL TV STATIONS VYING FOR TIME AT MACON SPEEDWAY MACON, IL (June 9) - Macon Speedway will play host to over 15 NASCAR Stars this Thursday, June 12 and the national TV stations are taking notice. ESPN and SPEED TV will both be in attendance to cover the festivities at Macon Speedway on this fan friendly night of entertainment at Macon Speedway. “We are so excited to be able to bring this kind of talent to our local dirt track so that all of the fans have the chance to see their NASCAR stars race at their hometown track.” “We are very fortunate in being able to bring this caliber of NASCAR Stars to a short track, and we will do our very best to put on the most entertaining night of dirt track racing that we possibly can,” said co-owner Bob Sargent. The US ARMY Night of NASCAR Stars II will feature the NASCAR stars racing each other to see who will win this year’s 1st place trophy in the US ARMY Night of NASCAR Stars modified division. The local Macon Speedway drivers will also be in attendance racing their cars in the UMP Hogan Grain/Kubota Sportsman division and the UMP Street Stock division. One lucky fan will win the chance of a lifetime by getting his or her chance to rocket around Macon Speedway and be the co-pilot of the Macon Speedway Late Model which will be driven by one of the NASCAE drivers in attendance that evening. The winner will be determined by the highest bidder in a silent auction with the proceeds going to a charity of the NASCAR driver’s choice.
