MACON SPEEDAY HOSTS WEEKEND SPECIALS JULY 18 & 19 POWRi & MODIFIED MANIA TO HIGHLIGHT WEEKEND SHOW MACON, IL (July 12) - The POWRi midgets and micros will invade Macon Speedway and show their stuff as they try to conquer the 1/5 mile track. Along with POWRi Macon Speedway is proud to be presenting Modified Mania! All Modifieds at Macon Speedway will be competing for extra prize money and a bonus. The UMP Barbeck Communications Modified who brings home the checkered flag on Friday, July 18 will win $600. Then come back to Macon Speedway on Saturday July 19 for the second part of Modified Mania where the winner will also take home $600. For an added bonus if the same driver wins on Friday & Saturday they will take home a bonus prize of $600 more dollars! If one driver doesn’t win both days Macon Speedway will award $300 to the Modified with the most points accumulated from the two day Modified Mania event. One lucky Modified could drive away with $1,800 after the two day Modified Mania event. O’Reilly POWRi expects a large contingent of cars to attend the POWRi National Midget Series race at Macon Speedway this Friday night. Come out on this special Friday night and see this action packed evening of fun family entertainment. The second day of Modified Mania don’t forget to bring a toy for our annual Christmas in July Kids Toy Drive. With the help of the Abate of Illinois Macon Speedway will donate all toys collected to local children. Anyone who brings a toy to donate will receive $2 off their admission price on Saturday, July 19. Please help us to bring smiles to as many children as we can! All UMP divisions will be racing on July 19 plus don’t miss another edition of the Midwest Big Ten Series for our UMP Chevrolet Late Models. Tickets for Friday, July 18 will be $15 for adults and children 12 & under are free. Saturday night adults will be admitted to Macon Speedway for $8 if you bring a toy to donate otherwise admission will be $10 for adults and children 12 & under are free. Plenty of tickets are still available for our Night of NASCAR Stars I on August 19 featuring Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace, Kevin Harvick and Jimmy Spencer.
