Jeff Leka, Jim Moon, Jim Quinn and Eric Wisher feature
winners Friday at Farmer City Raceway!
FARMER CITY, IL (April 25) - With the late models off tonight in a spirit of
cooperation with Kankakee County Speedway, and the Monster Midwest Series,
the modifieds were the headliners tonight at this historic old fairgrounds
race track.
Eight time track champion Jeff Leka finally got his first win of 2009 at
Farmer City over Chad Osterhoff, Mckay Wenger, Lance Dehm, and Chad Kinder.
The heat races went to Dehm, Osterhoff and Leka. Chad Evans turned in fast
time with Cory Schwengel taking the semi feature.
The Street Stock class was a thriller with Jim Quinn taking the victory
after a late high side pass on Chuck Barnes. Barnes would finish second,
followed by Krick, Dodson, Hail, Lehigh, Tackett, Miller, Thrasher and
Griffith. Heat wins had earlier gone to Quinn and Barnes.
The hornet class had a new winner in an exciting feature with Eric Wisher
taking the win over Jason Maier, a couple of Wilsons and Rexroad.
The crate feature once again went to Jim Moon with Nick Bauman setting fast
time at 14.407 seconds, which for the first time this class qualified, this
is the new track record for crates.
