Belle-Clair Speedway Saturday May 2nd
MILLSTADT, IL (April 30) - The O'Reilly POWRi National Midget and 600cc
Outlaw Micro Sprint Series make their way to Belle-Clair Speedway in
Belleville, IL this Saturday night to contest the first of four scheduled
events for the 2009 season. 2006 POWRi National Midget series champ, Brad
Kuhn, leads the series with a slim point lead over 2008 rookie sensation
Ryan Criswell and 2009 rookie candidate Andrew Felker. Kuhn has posted two
wins to open the season at Duquoin, IL and Jacksonville, IL with 2007 POWRi
Champ Brad Loyet taking the checkers at Macon Speedway.
2007 & 2008 POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint Champ Derek King of Vienna, IL
has the early point lead heading into Belle-Clair. King, who has been
consistent in his first three events this season, is still looking for his
first victory of the season and has his sights set on Belleville. King will
have his hands full with 2009 feature winners Gregg Dillion, Jeremy Camp and
Andrew Peters looking to add to the win column.
Belle-Clair pit gates open at 1:00 PM and general admission opens at 4:00
PM. Hot laps begin at 6:00 PM with racing at 7:00 PM. General admission
tickets are $12 each with kids 6 and under free. Stop by your local metro
