O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series to Cause Quake at Quincy
Raceway; Vermilion County Postponed
By Kelly Brown – Public Relations Director
CAMARGO, IL (May 18) – With the first race of the season in the books, it is
time to look ahead to the next leg on the journey to the O’Reilly Midwest
All Star Series Crown. The first event of the season saw Rookie-of-the-Year
title contender Kaley Gharst dominate in his Webb 51. Moving on to Quincy
Raceways on Sunday, May 24th it will be interesting to see who will rise to
the top, Midwest veteran or one of the youngsters that gave them a run for
their money in Lawrenceburg.
Quincy Raceways joined the Midwest All Star schedule in 2008 and has been
the host of two events. At the first event it was 2009 Series Champion
Jerrod Hull who recorded his first victory of the season. It was a quite a
battle between Hull and All Star veteran Danny Smith, but in the end youth
out ran experience. Quincy was also the home of the final event of the 2008
season. This time Smith would have revenge as he took the Checkered Flag
first.
The gates will open on Sunday, May 24th at 5:00 pm with Hot Laps at 6:00 pm
and racing action beginning at 6:30 pm. Visit Quincy Raceways online at
