MACON SPEEDWAY SCHEDULE CHANGE
MACON, IL (August 18) - Macon Speedway announces a schedule change for the
popular Midwest Big Ten Series. The final two races in the Midwest Big Ten
Series have been moved to August 26 at Shepp’s Speedway and August 29 at
Macon Speedway. Morgan County Speedway has completed the series events that
were held at their facility. The three tracks have hosted a series of races
in the 2009 racing season, with the final two on the 26 and 29 of August to
finish out the series. Each of the ten races includes larger winnings to the
winner of the feature. At the end of the season the points each driver has
accumulated in those 10 races will be totaled and there will be $10,000
distributed throughout the top ten Late Models with the top point fund
winner taking home another $3,000!
So far with only two of the ten races left our point’s leader is Steve
Sheppard Jr. racing his #5 Late Model. Staying close behind is his son,
Brandon Sheppard in his 5B and Kyle Logue in his Sav Mor Pharmacy #21 Late
Model. Both Brandon Sheppard and Kyle Logue are close on the winner’s heels.
Not far behind the top three is Macon Speedway’s Chris Dick of Springfield,
IL who is currently sitting in second place behind Kyle Logue for the points
race at Macon Speedway.
Macon Speedway will feature POWRi Midgets and Micros plus the UMP Modified
division on Friday, August 21, then this Saturday night Macon Speedway will
be racing UMP Modified, Street Stocks, Pro and Amateur Hornets plus POWRi
Micros. Don’t miss our Night of Nascar Stars II featuring Tony Stewart, Ken
Schrader, Kenny Wallace and Mark Martin on September 2. We have plenty of

adults and children 12 & under are $5. Gates will open at 3pm with the
autograph session taking place from 4:30-5:30pm. Get your chance to meet
