MACON, IL (April 20) - Macon Speedway will hold a drivers meeting on Saturday, April 24 at approximately 5:30 pm in the pit area to discuss its newest division, the High School Hornets. All rules will be addressed plus a chance to ask questions regarding the division. Macon Speedway fans will have the opportunity to view our newest division, High School Hornets, on May 1st during the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. The new class which originally debuted at Macon Speedway for one thrilling night of racing in 2009 will be open to all teens 16 and under. Macon Speedway hopes to grow this division and get the area kids involved in racing at an early age, but without putting a strain on their families’ budgets by offering a division that is fun and reasonably priced. No experience is required to compete in this division; it is solely for the purpose of having fun at their local race track. Macon Speedway encourages the new division of drivers to express their school spirit by sporting their school colors paint schemes, and or mascots on their cars in whatever creative way they can. Macon Speedway offers fun family entertainment every Saturday night from April to September. Please watch our website for more exciting news concerning new ideas for 2010 at Macon Speedway.
