Winged Sprints, POWRi Midgets and Micros This Friday at
Jacksonville Speedway
JACKSONVILLE, IL (July 22) - After a huge amount of rain caused the speedway
to be completely underwater through Thursday, and after an incredible amount
of work repairing the drainage and pumping water, we should be all set to be
racing Friday night with a great all open wheel show.
Our weekly winged sprints will be in action along with POWRi midgets and
micros featuring some of the best national midget racers in the Midwest.
Pit gates will open a little early this week at 3:00 and grandstands will
open at 5:00. Driver’s meeting at 6:15, hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:00.
Grandstand admission is $15 and pit passes are $30 for this special show.
We would like to express special thanks to Brad and John at Metz Plumbing
and Heating for going above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks also go to
TJ King, Ryan Blakeman and Mike Hess along with our normal track crew of
Ralphie, Tommy, Hoss and several others for spending Thursday afternoon and
evening up to their waist in mud making sure the races were going to happen.
