MACON, ILL (September 23) - Macon Speedway is excited to announce with the help of Decatur Used Cars that the Big Ten Street Stock Series has concluded for 2010 and crowns Terry Miller of Lincoln, IL the champion. Terry competed in all ten events held throughout the season compiling 5 top 5 finishes including one feature win. Terry took the first place title by edging out Larry Russell by 20 points. Larry Russell had two features wins in the series but didn’t have enough points to take over first place. Rounding out the top five are Kevin Crowder, Tom Reich and Tyler Blankenship. The series had 82 competitors but only one, Terry Miller competed in all 10. Larry Russell, Travis Walbaum and Davey Crawley Jr all three posted two feature wins during the series. The other feature winners were, Kevin Crowder, Tyler Blankenship and Roger Smith. This was the first year in existence for the Midwest Big Ten Series brought to you by Decatur Used Cars. The series started last year by offering a bonus for the UMP Late Models for competing in ten races held at three different tracks. This year the series was extended to include the Street Stocks with a $3,000 point fund up for grabs. Jacksonville Speedway and Shepp’s Speedway were the other two tracks that were part of both series. The UMP Late Model Midwest Big Ten Series still has one event left to go which will take place on September 30 for the makeup feature for the Miller Lite Beer Twin 50’s. Macon Speedway is located 9 miles south of Decatur, IL on US 51 then .6 miles west on Andrews Street, then south on Wiles.
