Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Visits La Salle Speedway
Next Tuesday Night
LA SALLE, IL (September 21, 2011) - The Road to Knoxville for the Lucas
Oil Late Model Dirt Series gets an early start with a special Tuesday
Night, September 27th appearance at La Salle Speedway in La Salle, IL.
The event which was originally scheduled for May, but was postponed due
to rain and cold temperatures will have the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series roll into La Salle on their way to the Lucas Oil Late Model
Knoxville Nationals at the legendary Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA
on September 29th, 30th and October 1st.
There will be a complete show at La Salle Speedway next Tuesday Night
with Red Buck Cigar Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains and the $10,000 to
win main event
A heated points battle is taking place on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series tour in 2011 with two-time series champion, Scott Bloomquist of
Mooresburg, TN and Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN separated by a mere
30-points heading into this weekend's Jackson 100 at Brownstown (IN)
Speedway.
The dogfight between the two is likely to continue to La Salle on
Tuesday Night as those two drivers along with the rest of the stars of
the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series visit La Salle for the ninth time
in series history. Bloomquist leads the way with two victories at La
Salle with Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, WI, Brian Birkhofer of Muscatine,
IA, Justin Rattliff of Campbellsville, KY, Tim McCreadie of Watertown,
NY along with Owens having captured series victories at the Izzo
Family-promoted facility.
