Second straight Indee Open Series event falls to rain

WEST UNION, IA (July 25, 2006) - For the second time in as many events, rain
was the victor in the Indee Open Series. The July 25 event, scheduled to kick
off the Fayette County Fair at Fayette County Raceway, is the latest to fall
victim to Mother Nature.
The event will be rescheduled, however no date has been set. The make-up date
will be announced in the near future.
Next up on the Indee Open Series schedule will be Tuesday, August 1, at Highway
3 Raceway in Allison. Late models, modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks and B
modifieds are scheduled to compete. Gates will open at 5 p.m. with hot laps
scheduled for 6:30 and the first race set for 7.
The following night, Wednesday, August 2, the series returns to Independence
Motor Speedway. The event, a make-up from the July 19 rain-out, will feature
late models, modifieds and stock cars. Gates will open at 4 p.m., hot laps are
set for 6:30 and racing is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
