Rules enhancements announced for 2007 at Independence Motor
Speedway
INDEPENDENCE, IA. (Dec. 9, 2006) - Late models, modifieds, stock cars and hobby
stocks will once again be I.M.C.A.-sanctioned in 2007 at Independence Motor
Speedway. The B modifieds will remain unsanctioned and see only a few changes
for the upcoming season.
In the weekly B modified rules, a single panhard bar, a minimum of 23 inches
mounted behind the rear end housing, will be required. Also, grinding of Hoosier
tires only will be acceptable in 2007 and 32 gallon fuel cells are optional.
In the Indee Open Series late model division, EC2 McCreary, I.M.C.A. Hoosier and
Hoosier D55 tires are all eligible. All may be ground, grooved or siped. In
weekly I.M.C.A. events, no I.M.C.A. Hoosier tire may be grooved or siped.
