Spooktacular Proceeds to Help Benefit Cardiology Services
DAVENPORT, IA (Sept 21) - "The rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated",
states Spooktacular promoter, Brad Roelandt.
Roelandt underwent heart surgery a few weeks ago, but says all systems are 'go'
for the 4th Annual Fall Spooktacular, a dirt track stock car racing event. The
race will be held Saturday, September 29th, at the Davenport Speedway, located
on the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
In a way to say thanks for his recent care, Roelandt will make a donation for
each grandstand admission sold at the Spooktacular, to the Genesis Cardiology
Unit. "I owe them a lot, I owe them my life." said Brad.
The Spooktacular will be highlighted by a $1,000-to-win feature in the
4-Cylinder Stock class. Also racing at the 4th Annual Fall Spooktacular will be
V-8 Modifieds, Street Stocks, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks, and Mod Lites.
The pit area will open at Noon, with the racing action scheduled to start at
3:30pm. Pit passes are $25 and grandstand admission only $10.
The Spooktacular is presented by the Quad Cities Racing Connection and Quad City
Salvage Auction.
