"Fiesta 40" at the Davenport Speedway has been postponement
until Wednesday, April 16thDAVENPORT, IA (April 11) - Heavy rains
this past week has forced postponement of tonight's "Fiesta 40" at the
Davenport Speedway until Wednesday, April 16th. The postponement also makes
for a busy four-day, three-race period next week for promoter Bob Wagener
and the staff of DRT TRAK Racing.
Wednesday, April 16th, the cars and stars of the World Dirt Racing League
will compete in the "Fiesta 40" sponsored by Rudy's Tacos. Also racing on
the big half-mile track of the Davenport Speedway will be pro-mods and
street stocks.
Friday, April 18th, the racing action turns to the fast-paced, quarter-mile
oval for the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA late models presented by
Barak's Truck Repair of Fulton, Ill. Joining the late models will be pro-mods,
b-mods, and street stocks.
The following evening, Saturday, April 19th, the Deery Brothers Summer
Series travels to the Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa. The event, also
sponsored by Barak's Truck Repair of Fulton, Ill., will feature pro-mods, b-mods,
and street stocks.
The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in
Davenport, Iowa. The Jackson County Speedway is located at the Jackson
County Fairgrounds in Maquoketa, Iowa.
