RACING AS USUAL AT DAVENPORT SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY “Sturgis” to have little effect on racing program DAVENPORT, IA (June 12) - The weekly stock car racing program at the Davenport Speedway will go on as scheduled this Friday, June 13th, weather permitting. The addition of Sturgis on the River to this weekend’s festivities at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, will have little effect on the racing action. Spectators attending the races at the Davenport Speedway this Friday, are asked to park in the paved, east parking lot. Competitors will enter the pit area as usual. All six weekly classes will be competing on Friday, IMCA Late Models, Pro Mods, Street Stocks, B-Mods, INEX Legend Cars, and 4 Stocks. Next Friday, June 20th is Mid-Season Championships at the Davenport Speedway. Hot laps start at 6:00pm with the racing action beginning at 6:30pm.
