CRESCO SPEEDWAY “LICENSED TO THRILL” FANS FROM DECORAH,
WAUKON THIS SUNDAY
CRESCO, Iowa (July 8) — The roar of engines return to the Cresco Speedway
this Sunday, July 12, for the second “Licensed to Thrill” event of the
season.
Race fans from the towns of Decorah and Waukon simply need to show their
driver's license or i.d. card to get FREE admission to the grandstands and
enjoy a full night of racing action on the house!
On tap at the Mighty Howard County Fairgrounds facility will be the American
Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl
Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks.
Pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hot laps are slated for
6:15 and the first heat race takes to the track at 6:30.
The Cresco Speedway is a 4/10-mile semi-banked clay oval located 0.2 miles
north of SR 9 on SW 7th (at the Howard County Fairgrounds). For more
