BRITT, Iowa (Aug. 3) – Hancock County Speedway’s 15th annual Night of 1,000 Stars special this Thursday, Aug. 6 boasts a $3,000 prize for the winner of the IMCA Modified main event. Thirty cars will start the 40-lap feature, again sponsored by Doug Studer Farms. In addition to lap money, a mini mum of $200 will be paid to drivers making the big show, which doubles as a qualifying event for the 2010 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars also return to the special card and run for $400 to win. IMCA national, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products State points will be awarded in both divisions. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m., with racing to follow. Pit passes are $25.
