FARLEY, IOWA (May 9) - Ricky Kay proved Sunday at Farley Speedway you didn't have to be in a hurry to get things accomplished you just had to be there in the end, and for the Wheatland, Iowa driver who arrived to the track late started the event in thirty ninth place, he won the event with ease as he finished seven laps ahead of Ryan Schilling who finished second.Kay who races alll over eastern iowa at several different race tracks pocketed $500 for his efforts on a beautiful mothers day afternoon which saw the 200 laps completed in and hour and fifty minutes which featured two roll overs. Dave Harvath from Stevens Point Wisconsin, was third, young Tyler Kelly who was running second with three laps to go only to run out of fuel still had a strong run as he finished fourth ten laps out,Kevin Blockinger was fifth ten laps out, Alex Hansen sixth, Larry Schultz who has come to the yankee and won the limited stock feature event the last couple years finished seventh, Phil Malouf was eighth, Twelve year old Haley Roth ninth, with Sonny Penny. This race was highlighted by something that you just don't see in motorsports every day. We had a gentleman race with us that had a blast doing it. So what you say!! Ladies and gentleman he is 87 years old. Don Boone had a ball out there he finished in twenty first place and that was a special award that netted him $50 you thought he won the lottery. What a job Don did,i can't wait until the summer funduro august 8th!! I bet Don can't either
