WEST LIBERTY, IA (May 15) - Ten year veteran Nick Marolf passed Denny Eckrich on the high side on the lap twenty restart, then lead the remaining five laps in notching his first late model feature victory of the season here at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds Saturday night. Eckrich jumped into the early lead and had things well in hand from his outside front row starting position, but the caution realigned things up.Marolf who started third on the grid got a great jump on the restart and motored around for the lead and on for the win. Eckrich finished second, Kevin Kile was third, Jeremiah Hurst fourth, while Justin Mitchell finished fifth after starting sixteenth. Ryan Dolan took advantage of Bruce Hanford drifting high after a lap fourteen restart and lead the remaining six laps to win the twenty lap open wheel modified feature event his first of the season. Terry Walker grabbed the early lead and lead laps one through five until Bruce Hanford took the lead and lead laps six through thirteen. Dolan charged ahead on the restart and motored on for the win.Hanford finished second, Jason Schueller his best run so far coming from tenth to third, Brad Dierks was fourth, while Larry Herring rounded out the top five. Eight year stock car veteran from Washington, Iowa Matt Greiner enjoyed a clean sweep as he won his heat, then later on took the lead from Scotty Pratt on lap eight and went on to win the fifteen lap stock car feature win his first of the season. Greiner who can be found all over the state of Iowa and Minnesota in the stock car division ranks ,was followed across the line by Scotty Pratt in second, David Brandies third, Greg Gill fourth, with Chip Kohl fifth. 2009 b-mod point champion Jason Speers passed Jarred Franzen on lap five and lead the remaining ten laps in notching his first b=mod feature win of the season.Franzen finished second, Brad Tyler was third, Nick Hixson fourth, with Jessee Smith fifth. Shaun Slaughter passed Rob Axsom on lap three then beat Jerrod McMichael by fender in notching his first fler feature win for 2010.McMichael was second, Ross Davidson third, Dan Campbell fourth. with Jordan Walker rounding out the top five.
