FARLEY, IOWA (June 25) - Racing action resumed this week on legends night at the Farley Speedway, as promoter Keith Simmons presented to the crowd this years legends on hand who raced at the speedway in years past. The racing on the track was top notch as well!! In the IMCA late model division Joel Callahan lead the first lap with Jimmy Brokus finding the top groove to his liking shooting around for the lead on lap two. Brokus survived a couple of cautions early on but when the final one fell on lap twenty two for Luke Aaron it set up an exciting finish. Brokus still leading had Andy Eckrich breathing down his neck as they have run one two most of the race. Brokus still able to hold Eckrich off through lap twenty four saw Eckrich give her all it was worth on the top side coming out of turn four and nip Jim Brokus at the checkers in a bizarre finish. The win for Andy Eckrich was his third of the season.A stellar run for Jim Brokus finishing second, Joel Callahan coming home third, Jeremiah Hurst who brought out the first caution then came from deep in the field to run fourth, with hammer down Jason Rauen completing the top five in fifth. Independence, Iowa driver Jerry Luloff passed Jason Schueller on lap five, then lead the remaining fifteen laps in notching his first IMCA modified feature win of the season here at the speedway. The veteran held off Patrick Flanigan who finished second, Jason Schueller was third, Dave McClain was fourth, with Toby Hartman fifth. Jed Freiburger has things working well in the b-modified division has he won the fifteen lap feature leading from flag to flag.Jarett Franzen was second, John Campbell Jr. third,Rob Dodd fourth,with Tyler Soppe fifth. Second year driver Austin Heathcock had a dominating performance as he won the twelve lap stock car feature leading from flag to flag.Cory Rupp was second,Jerry Miles third,Phil Holtz fourth,with Matt Miller fifth. Attrition took a toll on the limited stock class as only Tim Schneider your winner and Ryan Federmann second place were running at the end of the ten lapper.Jeremy Campbell finished third,Steve Miller fourth,with Dalton Soppe fifth. Young Tyler Kelly grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back enroute to winning the ten lap flyer feature.Pat Quinn was second,Brannon Bechen third,Jeremy Vasquez fourth with Hailey Roth fifth.
In the Midwest Jalopy Feature Chris Gilmore won over Rodney Haack,Bob Mingst,Doug Picray,and Jerry Cayler.
