DUBUQUE, IOWA (August 1, 2010) - Terry Neal grabbed the lead after a late race restart and went on to win night two of the Julien Dubuque Classic fair race at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway. The race saw a very serious accident happen as Stephen Kammmerers late model got air born coming through turns one and two with the drivers door getting ripped off in the catch fence and his race car going upside down in the process.Joel Callahan had been the leader of the race from lap nine through thirty two until the wreck forced a restart.After the restart Neal found the top groove to his liking and lead the remaining three laps for the win his ninth of the season. Jeremiah Hurst was second,Joel Callahan who had such a huge lead and drove such a good race finished third, Andy Eckrich finished fourth with Mike Murphy Jr. coming from the rear of the pack after and early caution to run fifth.Neal had a perfect night winning a qualifying heat race as well.The late model feature win was worth $1200 for his efforts. In whats shaping up to be a weekly event between these two drivers Ron Barker won tonight as the veteran beat Tony VonDresky to win the twenty lap a modified feature.VonDresky lead the first thirteen laps before Barker found the top groove to his liking with his momentum carrying him on for the win.It was a really good race between these two drivers. VonDresky finished second, Timmy Current from the rear of the pack to run third,Mike Burbridge fourth, with Ryan DeShaw fifth. In wht seemed to be a marathon event Terry Rittmer grabbed the lead from early leader Joe Bonney on lap five,survived several restarts to win his second stock car feature win of the season.Ed McIntyre was second, Mark Massey third, Jerry Miles fourth,with K.C.Ansel fifth. Jed Freiburger grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and went on to capture his twelfth b-mod feature win of the 2010 season a remarkable accomplishment. Jerry Pratt was second, Kenny Boyse placed third, John Campbell Jr fourth, with Jeremy Gengler fifth. This young man started off slow but hes been on fire lately,Jeremy Campbell took the lead from Dalton Soppe open lap four and won the ten lap limited stock feature for his fourth win of the season.Jeff Baker finished second, Larry Schulz placed third, Troy Baurer fourth with Hope Schmerebach fifth. John Flury got a late start to the season but is making up for lost time as he on the ten lap fler feature leading from flag to flag. Joey Veach was second, Justin Hall third, Drew Bob Betts fourth with John Campbell Jr. fifth.
