DUBUQUE, IOWA (September 5) - The crew didn't know what to expect after Jeremiah Hurst pulled out of the feature Saturday night at West Liberty with rocker arm issues. Sunday night at Dubuque it was a different story as the veteran from dubuque grabbed the lead from Darren Miller on lap eleven and lead the remaining thirty nine laps to win his second two thousand dollar race of the weekend and second win for the year overall. Miller dropped out late in the race, and Mike Murphy Jr, who made a gallant effore to run at Hurst for the top spot fell out late as well. Jake Meier had a great run for second, Ace Ihm came from the rear of the pack twice with tire issues to run third, Becky Roth a stellar performance in fourth, with Jon Rogers rounding out the top five in fifth. Darren Miller won the dash over Jeff Larson, Jeremiah Hurst, Ron Klein, and Jake Meier Ron Barker, and Tony VonDresky were tied going into the night in the a-modified division point standings and when the twenty lapper was finished Ron Barker had win number nine to his credit and another track championship for his thirty two year career racing resume. Quite an accomplishment for this veteran from dubuque who lead the race from flag to flag. Jason Schueller placed second, Mike Burbriidge third, Pete Bonin fourth,with Tony VonDresky fifth.Barker won the dash over Schueller, VonDresky, Bonin, and Ryan DeShaw. Jerry Miles grabbed win number seven on the night in the stock car class leading the twelve lapper from flag to flag, and notched the stock car division track championship in the process. Tim Current was second, Andy Hedrick third, Terry Rittmer fourth, with David Brandies fifth. Austin Heacock won te dash over Andy Hedrick, K.C. Ansel, Terry Rittmer, and Matt Miller. Matt Gansen jumped into the early lead and went on tocapture the ten lap b-modified feature event for his fifth win of the season. Jarret Franzen was second, Jason Buss third, Dustin Wilwert fourth, with John Campbell Sr. fifth. Mtt Gansen won the dash over Jeff Willis, John Campbell Sr.,Kenny Boyse,,and Dustin Wilwert. Jed Freiburger was the b-modified track champion. Jeff Baker has been on fire of late as he has won the last three limited stock feature events winning tonight ten lapper leading from flag to flag. Yroy Baurer was second,Jeremy Campbell third, Steve Miller fourth, with Mick Widmeie fifth Tim Schneider was your limited stock track champion. Lenny Ollendick took the lead at the drop of the green flag and went on to win his first feature ever in the ten lap flyer division leading from flag to flag. Pat Quinn was second, Kile Bohringer third, Derek McBee fourth, with Tyler Kelly fifth Tonight was season championship night as the curtain has been lowered for the final time foor racing for the 2010 racing season.
