DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 21) – The Memorial Weekend is guaranteed to be a memorable one for the IMCA Modified winners of Shootout specials Friday, May 27 at Davenport Speedway and Saturday, May 28 at Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa. Both feature events pay $2,000 to win and are qualifiers for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Dirt Racer magazine will add a $100 bonus for any driver winning both nights. Twenty cars make up the starting field for each 40-lap show and all applicable IMCA points will be awarded both nights. Entry fees of $50 can be paid at the gate. Pits at Davenport open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. Racing starts at 7 p.m. Maquoketa opens the pits at 4 p.m. and the grandstand at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing gets underway at 6:30 p.m. Camping will be available at both tracks and information about overnight accommodations is available from promoter Bob Wagener at 563 652-5302. Pit passes are $25. There is no entry fee for any other regular weekly class at either track. IMCA Late Models are also on cards at Davenport and at Maquoketa. Grandstand admission will be $15 for adults and $14 for seniors and teenagers, with 12 and under free when accompanying a paid adult. More information is posted on the www.drttrk.com website.
