Lee County Speedway hosts May 27 Smackdown special
DONNELLSON, Iowa (May 23) – Lee County Speedway celebrates the Memorial
Weekend with its rescheduled Smackdown special.
IMCA Modifieds run for a minimum of $2,000 to win in their Friday, May 27
feature at Donnellson. Lap money of $35 will be paid to the leader and $10
to the second-running driver on each of the 30 circuits, making the
potential to win amount more than $3,000.
National, ButlerBuilt North Central Region and Allstar Performance State,
but no local track points will be awarded for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star
Invitational ballot qualifier, sponsored by Dis¬count Tire & Service.
Other sanctioned divisions on the program are Karl Chevrolet Northern
SportMods in a $500 to win feature and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, running for
$300 to win.
Pit gates and the grandstand will open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and
racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Grand¬stand admission is $12 for adults, $11 for
seniors, $5 for students ages 11-17 and 10 and un¬der get in free. Pit
passes are $25.

The Smackdown was originally scheduled for April 15 but was postponed
