URSS Series Makes Its Debut At Thunderhill Speedway

OBERLIN, KS (June 19) - The United Rebel Sprint Series will make their debut at
the lighting fast Thunderhill Speedway, Friday June 29th. The URSS 305 Traveling
Series will hit the high-banked 4/10’s mile oval for a night of Heart Pounding
action that will keep fans on their feet lap after lap. The URSS Series has
drivers from the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and Oklahoma.
Scheduled to hit the track are area drivers Greg Thyfault from Silver Lake,
Corey Lutters from Kansas City, Cody Salem from St. Joseph Missouri along with
Kelly Kniesler of Mayetta making his URSS debut. URSS regulars such as current
point leader Smokey Fairbank, last years Series Champion the “Kansas Tornado”
Jon Johnson, Randy Bantam, Larry Radcliffe, Justin Schwien and a host of others
will take to the track for a night of racing action.
Joining the URSS 305 Sprint Cars on the racing card for the evening will be the
Street Stock and Hobby Stock Divisions. Gates will open at 5:00 pm with Hot Laps
at 7:00 with the racing action beginning at 7:30. Thunder hill Speedway is
located 14 miles north of Topeka on Highway 75 and then 2 miles west on 142nd.
