URSS Drivers Ready For Eastern Kansas Double

OBERLIN, KS (June 25) - The United Rebel Sprint Series will make their debut
at two new venues the weekend of June 29-30 with appearances at the Thunderhill
Speedway and the Minneapolis Raceway. Both nights will feature the regions Top
305 Sprint Cars Drivers battling each other in two and three wide racing action
guaranteed to keeps fans on their feet.
Friday June 29th, the URSS Rebels pull into the high-banked Thunderhill Speedway
in Mayetta, Kansas. This high speed 4/10’s mile oval will showcase “flat footed”
racing around the track as the 305 Traveling Series with area drivers Greg
Thyfault from Silver Lake, Corey Lutters from Kansas City, Cody Salem from St.
Joseph Missouri along with Kelly Kniesler of Mayetta making his URSS debut.
Racing action will start at 7:30 with the Street Stock and Hobby Stock classes
joining the URSS 305 Sprint Cars.
Saturday June 30th, the URSS Rebels will make their debut at the Minneapolis
Raceway. In its second season of operation, the 3/8’s mile oval has been the
site of some thrills and spills with two and three wide racing action being
commonplace, and this will be the first time Sprint Cars have hit the track.
Current points leader Smokey Fairbank, Justin Schwien, last years Series
Champion Jon Johnson will hit the high banks along with Minneapolis Modified
Lite Series, IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car, IMCA Hobby Stock classes at 7:30 pm.
