2008 URSS Schedule Changes Announced OBERLIN, KS (April 11) - Due to the recent poor weather conditions, The URSS Eastern Region Season opener at Whiskey Lake Raceway has been pushed back to the weekend of May 9th. Whiskey Lake Raceway will also have a Practice and Registration Day to be held on Sunday April 20th starting at 2:00 pm. For further information you can visit the Whiskey Lake Raceway website at www.whiskeylakeraceway.net The Friday April 25th Test n’ Tune at the Jetmore Motorplex will go on as planned, giving all the URSS teams a chance to work out any bugs before the 2008 Season opener Saturday April 26th at the Motorplex. The “Spring Sizzler” Sponsored by D&S Machine promises to be a great night of racing as the BST Modified Series takes to the track along with the Stock Cars to fill out the evenings racing program. Dodge City Raceway Park has also announced a Schedule change moving the URSS Sanctioned event originally scheduled for Sunday May 4th to Friday May 2nd at 7:30 pm. This change will allow URSS Series Drivers to race at the Solomon Valley Speedway in Beloit on Saturday May 3rd on their ¼ mile bullring and then continue on the May 4th date at 81 Speedway in Wichita Sunday night. It will make for an exciting three days of racing at three very different facilities.
