NORTON, KS (March 22) - Elmwood Park Speedway in Norton, KS, has released its 2010 racing schedule. The ½-mile oval will feature races on the following dates: Saturday, April 10 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31 - 7:00 p.m.(fair race no Modifieds) Sunday, August 1 7:00 p.m. (fair race) Saturday, August 21 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4 7:00 p.m. (Vintage Cars, 305 Sprints, Northern Sport Mods only) Sunday, September 5 7:00 p.m. (Vintage Cars, 305 Sprints, Northern Sport Mods only) Saturday, September 18 6:00 p.m. Five classes will be featured each night, unless otherwise noted. They include IMCA-sanctioned Modifieds, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and Northern Sport Mods, along with 305 Sprint Cars. The play day scheduled for March 27 and races scheduled for March 28 have been canceled as inclement weather has not allowed race officials to properly get the track prepared.
