KNOXVILLE NATIONALS TRADE SHOW & FAN FAIR CONTINUES TO TAKE
SHAPE
by: Thomas J Schmeh
KNOXVILLE, IA (July 1, 2006) - The 20th annual Knoxville Nationals Trade Show &
Fan Fair, August 9-12, continues to take shape as both Hawkeye Racing News and
Australia’s Premier Speedway/Great Ocean Road have signed exhibitor agreements
this week. They join previously signed-up exhibitors Artwork by John W. Davis
III, Race Monster, Big Al’s, Indiancreek Enterprises, Bo’s Racing Collectibles,
Eric Carlson, Circle N Sales, Midwest 305 Sprint Cars, Thunderhead Enterprises,
and the host National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum.
According to museum executive director Thomas J. Schmeh, “We are excited to
welcome back Rob Harris of the Premier Speedway in Warrnambool, Victoria,
Australia, who is being joined this year by the tourism officials of the Great
Ocean Road in Australia’s Shipwreck Coast region. And Vinton, Iowa’s Hawkeye
Racing News annually exhibits in the trade show, although this will be the first
year for new editor Kyle Ealy. I think the Fan Fair, which will feature lively
moderated sessions by sprint car racing’s national media from 11 a.m. until 7
p.m. daily, will be a welcome addition to the twentieth annual trade show, too.”
Those companies interested in exhibiting in the free-to-the-public trade show,
which is held in the 4-H Show Pavilion outside of turn number four of the
Knoxville Raceway on the Marion County Fairgrounds, are urged to contact Tom
Schmeh at the museum at 1-800-874-4488 or via e-mail at
tschmeh@sprintcarhof.com . The
trade show, open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. during the
46th annual Knoxville Nationals, offers security during the show's off-hours.
