KALEY GHARST RETAINS LEAD IN COX DESIGN
SOUTHERN IOWA SPRINTWEEK POINTS AFTER NIGHT FIVE OF TEN
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 7, 2007) - Despite a disappointing fifteenth place
finish in last night’s Front Row Challenge at Oskaloosa, Kaley Gharst of
Decatur, Illinois, has retained his lead in the Cox Design Southern Iowa
SprintWeek points after night five of ten consecutive nights of sprint car
racing between the half-mile dirt tracks in Knoxville and Oskaloosa. Rob Chaney
of Ohio won the race, while defending Knoxville Nationals champion Donny Schatz
of North Dakota accepted the challenge and finished sixteenth after starting on
the tail of the main. Night number six is tonight with the $30,000-to-win
Ultimate Challenge at the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds in Oskaloosa.
