WILLIAMS GROVE TO HOST ANNUAL NSCHoF/EMMR AUCTION ON SATURDAY
BEFORE NATIONAL OPEN
by: Thomas J Schmeh
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (September 23, 2007) - The Williams Grove Speedway in
Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, will once again host the joint National Sprint Car
Hall of Fame (NSCHoF)/Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) benefit auction on
Saturday, September 29, at 1 p.m. The annual joint auction is free and open to
the public, and will be held near the Chili Cook-Off on the backstretch on the
afternoon of the 45th annual Williams Grove National Open, sanctioned by the
World of Outlaws (WoO) and presented by Cleveland Brothers.
According to National Sprint Car Museum marketing director Craig Agan, “It is
such a pleasure for us to work with the fine people at the Eastern Museum of
Motor Racing and the Williams Grove Speedway on this fundraising event. Lynn
Paxton, Joe Heisler, Morgan Hughes, Allan Kreitzer, Justin Loh and others just
make us feel so welcome every year in the fall during this historic event. We
are bringing out some unique, autographed memorabilia this year for the auction,
in addition to our Shaver-powered, JEI-chassis raffle sprint car #7.”
Those seeking more information on the NSCHoF/EMMR auction are urged to contact
Craig Agan at 1-800-874-4488 or to visit the Knoxville-based museum’s web site
at www.sprintcarhof.com. Those interested in tickets for the Williams Grove
National Open are urged to call the track office at 717-697-5000, or visit
www.williamsgrove.com.
