2008 KNOXVILLE WORLD CHALLENGE QUALIFIERS UP NEXT IN NEW ZEALAND KNOXVILLE, IOWA (Dec 14) - The 2008 Knoxville World Challenge international qualifiers move to the north island of New Zealand for two dates within the next couple of weeks. On Wednesday, December 26, the Western Springs Speedway in the suburb of Auckland will play host to Americans Craig Dollansky, Ricky Logan and Jason Statler and top New Zealanders Allan Wakeling, Kerry Jones, and Jamie McDonald in the International Sprint Car Series Finale. On Saturday, January 5, 2008, the top international stars will head to the $7,500-to-win New Zealand Sprint Car Championship at the Blue Chip Speedway at Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui. The two New Zealand dates follow those international qualifiers already held at the Ohsweken (Ontario) Speedway and the Castrol Raceway (Edmonton, Alberta), and they precede the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic (GASC) finale on January 26-27, 2008, at the Premier Speedway at Sungold Stadium in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. As a result of the two Canadian qualifiers, those already inversion-eligible for the fifteenth annual Knoxville World Challenge on Friday, August 8, 2008, at Knoxville Raceway are: AUS: Kerry Madsen, Brooke Tatnell. CAN: Casey Adams, Cody Adams, Austin Boychuk, Fred Cade, Jamie Collard, Jesse Dakus, Keith Dempster, Marc Duperron, Wade Fleming, Tim Gee, Jeff Hodgson, Tom Huppunen, Gord Kynoch, Drew McDonell, Brad Milne, Sean Moran, Kyle Patrick, Rob Pietz, Travis Rutz, Chris Schmelzle, Todd Sparks.
