REV. MARK AMENDA, GREG RILAT & KRAMER WILLIAMSON ADD NAMES TO KNOXVILLE MASTERS CLASSIC ENTRY LIST KNOXVILLE, IOWA (April 20, 2008) - Low-buck veteran Reverend Mark Amenda of Illinois, current American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Gulf South Region points runner-up Greg Rilat of Texas, and 2008 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Kramer Williamson of Pennsylvania have all officially entered the sixteenth annual Knoxville Masters Classic to be run on Friday, May 30, at Knoxville Raceway. Williamson, the runner-up in the inaugural McCroskey Chevrolet Tournament of Champions at Knoxville in 1997, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday afternoon, May 31. In addition, Indy 500 veteran Johnny Parsons, Jr., and 1983 Eldora Nationals winner Gary Lynch are both seeking quality rides in the winged 360-cubic-inch sprint car race for drivers age fifty and over. According to Knoxville’s director of racing Ralph Capitani, “We are thrilled to welcome Kramer Williamson back to Knoxville Raceway. He was active here in 1983 and ’84, while driving for fellow Hall of Famer Bob Trostle. And his ToC runner-up to Greg Coverdale in 1997, representing the United Racing Club, was very impressive. In addition, it will be fun the have the ‘racin’ reverend’ Mark Amenda and last year’s fifth place Masters finisher Greg Rilat back in the pits at the Sprint Car Capital of the World.” Kramer will wheel his own Armourboard-sponsored, Riders-powered KramerKraft chassis in the Classic, while Amenda will mount the United Methodist Motorsports Ministry Maxim, which is powered by a Larry Lalonde-built engine. Rilat will be aboard his CnB Mushroom Farms-sponsored Triple X chassis powered by Motor Mike. Greg Rilat is the father of ASCS veteran Travis Rilat.
