MATT TIFFANY LATEST TO ENTER BRODIX TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
by: Brian Stickel

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 10) - As the days wind down until the final entry deadline on Wednesday, July 23, for the tenth annual Brodix Tournament of Champions sprint car race to be held at the Knoxville Raceway on Sunday, August 3, Daytona Beach, Florida’s Matt Tiffany becomes the thirtieth and latest entrant for the $5,000-to-win contest. The one-day international invitational for the ‘best of the best’ in winged 360-cubic-inch sprint car racing utilizes one common set of technical rules, including use of the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Brodix spec head. Tiffany, an upcoming student at the University of Central Florida, will be representing the ASCS Rebel Region in the tournament field.

Tiffany will wheel the MJT, L.L.C.-owned, Don Ott-powered Shaw chassis sprint car number 19T, which is sponsored by C-n-B Mushroom Farm of Avondale, Pennsylvania. Matt is a multi-time sprint car feature winner with both Emmett Hahn’s American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) and Pete Walton’s United Sprint Car Series (USCS).

According to Knoxville’s director of racing Ralph ‘Cappy’ Capitani, “The Brodix Tournament of Champions is shaping up to be one of the most competitive races of the ten-day Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa SpeedWeek, July 31 through August 9. Already entered are Glenn Styres and Travis Rutz of Canada, Troy Little and Ricky Barrand of Australia, and 2002 Brodix ToC winner Josh Higday, 2006 ‘Mr. Sprint Car’ Jason Johnson, and now up-and-comer Matt Tiffany of the U.S.A.
