Schrader Third Sprint Cup Driver to Enter 6th Annual Lucas
Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals presented by SuperClean!
(Bill W) April 6 – Ken Schrader is the latest entry in the 6th Annual Lucas
Oil Late Model Nationals presented by SuperClean. The event will be held
October 1-3, 2009, and will pay out over a quarter of a million dollars in
prize money, including $40,000 to the winner!
Schrader joins fellow Sprint Cup Drivers Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman in the
sixty-six car field. Ken will pilot the Ken Schrader Racing #9. This will
mark Schrader’s fourth consecutive appearance at the Late Model Nationals,
but he is no stranger to the track in other forms as well. In sprint car
action, he finished 12th in the 1981 Knoxville sprint Nationals after
transferring from the B Main.
Forty-two entries have already been accepted for the Late Model Nationals,
and include former race winners, Scott Bloomquist, Brian Shirley and Brady
Smith. The event features sixty-six slots for entry, and forms can be found

The Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals presented by SuperClean, now in
its 6th year, includes 66 of the top Late Model Drivers in the Nation
competing in the three day event. Featuring a full program each night of
racing, drivers will qualify on Thursday and may race again on Friday to
improve their standings for the main show on Saturday, October 3.
