DIGITAL PHOTOS NEEDED OF 20009 SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME
INDUCTEES
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (May 23, 2009) - In an effort to improve its induction
banquet in its twentieth year, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame is
seeking digital photos of its “Class of 2009” inductees for use on twin
large screens in the banquet hall. All photos need to be e-mailed by their
original photographers, amateur and professional, by Noon Thursday to
tschmeh@sprintcarhof.com
and need to be in a .jpg format.
According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “During the meal this
year, we hope to continuously loop and show hundreds of different photos of
this year’s inductees: Allan Brown, Jim Chini, Jack Elam, Lee Elkins, Jac
Haudenschild, Jackie Holmes, Tommy Nicholson, Lee Osborne, Cavino “Kelly”
Petillo, Roger Rager, Fred Rahmer, Louis Senter, and Rip Williams. We know
that this is a last minute request, but we are hoping that fans across the
country will help us honor these greats by donating a digital photo or two
from their personal collections. Already we have received photos from
photographers John Mahoney, Tony Martin, Conrad Nelson, Bill Taylor and
several others.”
Those with questions on this request can call museum curator Tom Schmeh, who
is working with media coordinator Kris Krohn on this effort, at
1-800-874-4488. Those wanting more information on the non-profit National
Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum, which is open seven days a week,
year-round, are encouraged to visit its web site at
www.sprintcarhof.com or call
641-842-6176.
