National Sprint Car Museum Sets Theater Schedule for Week of Knoxville Nationals

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 21, 2009) - The film schedule for the new 42-seat theater on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville has been set by staff members for the week of the SuperClean Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil, August 10-15.  The theater was funded by a donation from U.S. Smokeless Tobacco, an Altria company, and there is no additional cost for museum visitors to enjoy the films in the recently completed second floor theater.

According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “We appreciate the support and approval of our activities by many filmmakers and videographers, including Dennis Doornbos, Roger Arndt, Pietro Serapiglio, Dr, Matt Jenkins, Jeff Grummer, Marc Orgera and Kris Krohn.  We also thank Stephen Low, Gary Mallonee, Kyle Luetters and Grant Rankin for their support of our efforts.  We think that we have a great line-up of films for the big week, kicking off with a trio of motorsports documentaries entitled 'Open Road', 'One Dream' and 'Super Speedway', and concluding with a countdown of the Knoxville Sprint Car National Championship finales on video from 1983 through 2008.”

The schedule for the theater, located on the second floor, west wing, of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville is as follows:
