BOARD TRACK, OLD TIME RACIN’, AND PENNSYLVANIA POSSE HIGHLIGHT FRIDAY OF KNOXVILLE NATIONALS FAN FAIR

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 2, 2009) - The Des Moines Speedway board track, ‘old time sprint car racin’ and the Pennsylvania Posse highlight the Friday, August 14, schedule of the four-day Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair at the National Sprint Car Museum. According to curator Tom Schmeh, “Once again, our Friday fan fair forum moderators have done an outstanding job of lining up special guests. Dave Van Patten has invited Norm Galpin, Hall of Famer Bob Trostle and Jean Lynch amongst others, while Bruce Ellis has confirmed appearances by Cody Darrah, Lance Dewease, Doug Esh, Greg Hodnett, Trevor Lewis, Daryn Pittman and his car owner Jesse Keen, Stevie Smith and recent National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Fred Rahmer. And we are bringing back Larry Ball’s excellent presentation on the Des Moines Speedway board track, 1915-16, due to popular demand. It will be a lot of fun for Nationals museum visitors.”
