National Sprint Car Museum’s Annual Racing Auction Tomorrow
at 12:30 p.m.
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 14, 2009) - The non-profit National Sprint Car
Museum’s annual racing auction will take place tomorrow (Saturday afternoon)
at 12:30 p.m. on the air-conditioned second floor of the four-story facility
in Knoxville. The live affair will be emceed by auctioneer Rick Van Donsler
and will feature autographed items from Kraig Kinser, A.J. Watson, Donny
Schatz, Dick Sutcliffe, Steve Kinser, Bob Trostle, Doug Wolfgang, Tony
Stewart, Duane “Pancho” Carter, Danny Lasoski, Bobby Unser, Al Unser,
Parnelli Jones, Dave Blaney, Fred Rahmer, Kenny Schrader, Sammy Swindell,
Johnny Rutherford, Brent Kaeding, Kasey Kahne, Brad Doty, George Snider,
Ryan Newman, Kenny Bernstein, Danica Patrick, Mario Andretti, Larry Dickson,
Earl Baltes, Ralph Capitani and many, many others.
According to museum marketing manager Chuck Stowe, “One of the featured
items is a very unique Speedway Motors pedal car donated by 'Speedy Bill'
Smith. We have had this year’s Knoxville Nationals competitors autograph it,
so it truly is one-of-a-kind. I also want to thank our many other loyal
auction donors, as this year’s catalog is one of the best we’ve ever
presented. Items will go on display at 11:30 a.m. on the museum’s second
floor tomorrow.”
