KNOXVILLE, IOWA (Sept 24, 2009) - The Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, will once again host the joint National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF)/Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) benefit auction on Saturday, October 3, at 12:30 p.m. The annual joint auction is free and open to the public, and will be held near the backstretch pit gate on the afternoon of the 47th annual Williams Grove National Open, sanctioned by the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series. According to National Sprint Car Museum marketing manager Chuck Stowe, “We are pleased to be heading to central Pennyslvania again this Fall to work with the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and the Williams Grove Speedway on this joint fundraising event. Lynn Paxton, Joe Heisler, Justin Loh and all of the others just make us feel so welcome every year during this historic event. We are bringing out some unique, autographed memorabilia this year for the auction, in addition to our Kistler-powered, J&J-chassis raffle sprint car number 8. It will be fun to catch up with last year’s raffle winners, Claudine and Eli Deshaies of Rhode Island, too.” Those seeking more information on the auction are urged to contact museum marketing manager Chuck Stowe at 1-800-874-4488 or to visit the Knoxville-based museum’s web site at www.sprintcarhof.com. Those interested in the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in York Springs, Pa., are encouraged to visit www.emmr.org. Those looking for tickets for the $50,000-to-win Williams Grove National Open are urged to call the half-mile dirt track office at 717-697-5000, or visit www.williamsgrove.com.
