KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 29, 2010) - With second floor tickets eighty-percent sold out for the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil, August 11-14, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum continues to sell tickets for its air-conditioned second floor for the Arnold Motor Supply ‘360’ Knoxville Nationals, August 5-7, and the Non-Winged Knoxville Nationals, August 8. Museum executive director Bob Baker said today, “I think this hot and humid weather is chasing a lot of sprint car racing fans inside, as we’ve seen a real surge in ticket demand for our air-conditioned second floor for the three national championship events in ten days. While we are down to our last thirty sets of tickets for the ‘410’ Nationals, we still have plenty of seating room for the other events during the Cox Design Iowa SpeedWeek.” Second floor tickets are available for all racing events on the Marion County Fairgrounds, including Knoxville’s non-winged, 360- and 410-cubic-inch sprint car, motorcycle and dirt late model national championships. Said Baker, “Additionally, we have closed-circuit television and the public-address system on the second floor. And we allow fans to bring their own food and drinks up to the second-floor clubhouse and the third- and fourth-floor suites on race nights, which is pretty unusual anymore at major sporting events. We feel we have one of the most fan-friendly environments in dirt track racing in all the world and we look forward to showcasing it during the Cox Design Iowa SpeedWeek, August 5-8 and 11-14.” Those individuals interested in watching races from the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum are urged to e-mail Bob Baker at bbaker@sprintcarhof.com or call him toll-free at 1-800-874-4488.
