Bub McCool Heads To Knoxville; Online Merch Store Now Available KNOXVILLE, IOWA (September 30) – Bub McCool will take his #57J McCool Logging/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model into war this coming weekend in the 7th Annual Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals. Last weekend, September 24th-25th, McCool Motorsports entered the 21st Annual Magnolia State 100 at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). The $25,010 to win/$1,000 to start event saw 71 Super Late Models enter to take a shot at the big payday. After starting third in his heat race, McCool advanced to a second place finish to lock into the feature event in the 8th starting spot. Early in the 100 lap feature, McCool would get as high as the fourth spot, but on a lap 30 restart, he would receive contact and front end damage that would bring his night to an early end. The event features over 60 of the nation’s top Super Late Models battling for a huge weekend price that is in excess of $230,000. Qualifying nights are held on Thursday and Friday night with complete race programs held each night. The qualifying nights will see drivers trying to accumulate as many points as possible toward Saturday’s finale program. On Thursday and Friday night a $7,000 to win/$400 to start event will be held. On Saturday night line-ups will be determined by a driver’s best qualifying night point’s total, and the finale on Saturday night will pay a massive $40,000 to win and $2,500 just to start.
