FINAL 24 HOURS TO GET IN ON J&J/KISTLER ‘410’ SPRINT CAR RAFFLE KNOXVILLE, IOWA (December 15, 2010) - What began at the 2009 King’s Royal sprint car championship at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, will reach its exciting conclusion on Friday, December 17, at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville, Iowa. The winning ticket in the non-profit museum foundation’s biennial raffle of a brand-new, state-of-the-art sprint car, this one being a J&J chassis with a Paul Kistler-built 410-cubic-inch engine, will be drawn at 11 a.m. Central time this Friday at the museum’s One Sprint Capital Place address. Tickets can be ordered by calling the museum toll-free at 1-800-874-4488 through the end of business on Thursday, December 16. According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “Marketing manager Chuck Stowe and everyone at the museum are truly appreciative of the efforts of engine-builder Paul Kistler in Ohio, chassis-builders Jack & Bonnie Elam in Tennessee, and all of the manufacturers and parts suppliers nationwide who made this raffle car number eight happen. We are also grateful to the many race track promoters, sanctioning officials, and trade show managers who allowed us to be a part of their events. And we can’t thank the raffle ticket-buyers enough either for making this another very successful fundraiser for the non-profit museum foundation. We couldn’t keep our doors open seven days a week, year-round, without this tremendous support from the sprint car racing community.” In addition to the grand prize, two other prizes will be drawn for on Friday. A brand-new tire stagger dyno from Kluhsman Racing Components and a top-of-the-line Bell Racing Apex GP driver suit courtesy of ‘Speedy’ Bill Smith’s Speedway Motors will be given away to two lucky ticket-buyers, respectively. Since 1995, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation has conducted a biennial sprint car raffle, utilizing a Large Annual Raffle gambling permit, issued by the Iowa Department of Revenue & Finance, and following their rules. All raffle prizes, including the state-of-the-art grand prize sprint car, are donated by the manufacturers and builders.
