CANADIAN TOM KUSZNIER GETS EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT:
MUSEUM’S J&J/KISTLER ‘410’ SPRINT CAR RAFFLE PRIZE

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (December 17, 2010)  -  Tom Kusznier of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, is the lucky grand prize winner of the National Sprint Car Museum's sprint car raffle.  The winning raffle ticket-buyer, who purchased one ticket each at the Knoxville Nationals and the Charlotte World of Outlaws World Finals, will receive a state-of-the-art J&J Auto Racing chassis with a new Paul Kistler-built 410-cubic-inch racing engine.  When first contacted by phone by museum marketing manager Chuck Stowe and told that museum board member Mike Husted drew his ticket this morning in the non-profit foundation’s eighth biennial sprint car raffle, Kusznier exclaimed, “Oh, my God, Merry Christmas!”

According to executive director Bob Baker, "We can't thank Jack & Bonnie Elam of J&J Auto Racing and Paul Kistler of Kistler Engines enough for all of their support on this 18-month project.  These companies and all the rest of the product donors continue to step up to the plate in a big way for our 501(c)(3) non-profit museum foundation.  We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of the raffle ticket-buyers and museum staff, volunteers, track promoters, series officials and trade show coordinators for making the tickets available to the public.  Everyone's support truly allows us to continue promoting the future of sprint car racing by preserving its past history."

In addition to the grand prize, two other prizes were drawn out of the golden barrel.  A brand-new tire stagger dyno from Kluhsman Racing Components was won by racer Joe Wood, Jr., of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a top-of-the-line Bell Racing Apex GP driver suit courtesy of ‘Speedy’ Bill Smith’s Speedway Motors was won by Lyman Witmer of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.

This year’s grand prize raffle donors, besides J&J Auto Racing and Kistler Racing Engines, are: All Pro Heads, Astro Titanium, Auto Meter, Barnes Racing Pumps, Bryant Racing Crankshafts, Butler-Built Seats, C&R Radiator, Carillo Rods, Chase Decals, Colfer’s Auto Body, Cosmetic Gaskets, Cox Design & Metal Fabrication, Crow Enterprises, Dan Olsen Racing Products, Donovan Engineering, Engler Injection, FK Rod Ends, Fuel Safe, GS Products, Hank’s Performance, Hoosier Tires, Isky Racing Cams, JE Pistons, Kinsler Fuel Injection, KSE Racing Products, Mahan’s Fiberglass, Mahle Motorsport, Memphis Plating Works, MSD Ignition, Pro Shocks, Randy’s Racing Filters, Sander Engineering, Schoenfeld Headers, Shaver/Wesmar Gear Drive, T&D Rockers, Total Seal Piston Rings, Victory Performance, Vortex Wings, Waterman Racing Components, Wilwood Engineering, XRP Fittings, and Winters Performance Products.
